Notes
• Rain or Shine, Fossil Rim is the place to
be. Come and explore nature at its finest any season
of the year.
• The animals don’t care what the weather is doing. They’re
always out and about. In fact, the rhinos love to slosh around in the mud when
it is raining.
• Animal food is $7.95 per bag and we limit it to one per vehicle for animal
health reasons.
• Halfway through the drive is a café, picnic area, gift store,
children’s zoo and walking trail.
• Guided tours must be reserved in advance/no reservations needed to drive
through in your own vehicle. Call 254-897-2960
Note: The giraffes will be put up in their holding
yard every Thursday around 3:30 pm, in inclement weather,
and as deemed necessary by Animal Care staff. As a
reminder, giraffes are not to be fed by visitors when
they are in the holding yard.

• Fully operational - all facilities open and all tours available.
• Surrounding venues also less crowded.
Allow approximately 2-3 hours
for a visit.
No Pets Allowed!
No motorcycles allowed for safety of visitors.
We require solid barriers between the animals and guests.
*All vehicles entering the Scenic Wildlife Drive must have solid (not soft side) doors.
*Trucks must have tailgates in the up position if people will be sitting in the truck bed.Do not go back and forth between the truck's cab and bed while you are in the animal pastures.
