If you cannot come to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, then we will come to you. We have several Outreach programs available, or if you don't see one you like, we would love to work with you to meet the needs of your group. We offer programs for classrooms, school assemblies, nature centers, libraries, Scout Troops and public and private organizations of all sizes and age groups.
Our children are our future and it is up to them to become good stewards of the earth and up to us to teach them how.
Available Outreach Programs:
Amazing Arthropods – Learn about insects, their basic body structure, adaptations, and habitats. This program allows the students to see a tarantula up close and personal (no touching.)
Teeth and Skulls – Learn about omnivores, herbivores, and carnivores, how to tell them apart, and touch the skulls and teeth.
Horns and Antlers – Learn about different animals, why some have antlers and some have horns, and the opportunity to touch skulls, antlers and horns.
Touch Me Not – Learn the difference between poisonous animals and venomous animals, what plants are poisonous, and how you can tell the difference. This program allows the students to see and touch a snake.
