Fossil Rim Loses a Great Friend

Dave was of the best of the best. He constantly provided me with a great deal of calm, thoughtful intellect and wisdom about people, about wildlife conservation, and about the management of these, often with his trademark touch of humor. He and I spent countless hours thinking aloud with each other about the 'talk' and 'walk' of these things. He had a special fondness for Fossil Rim and its staff, which I and those who knew him deeply treasured and respected. His advocacy of Fossil Rim showed through in many ways everywhere he went as well as in the discussions of our Board. He had that very special ability to tell of his life's animal experiences in a most amusing but true-to-life way, and as you know penned some delightful stories for our e-newsletter, which were so popular among the readers that many asked for more.

His wife, Becky and sons Michael and James were the center of his universe. All of us on the board and staff of Fossil Rim shall miss him sorely and our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with Becky, Michael and James.
