This practice is usually gone by the time a cheetah is two years old. An adult cheetah will sometimes climb in a short tree or out of fear if something is after them but they are clumsy in trees and often fall out. You will not see cheetahs hauling their prey into a tree as many other big cats do, that is why cheetahs often have their meals stolen from them by lions, hyenas or even vultures. All of this leads us to the statement that cheetahs are not considered to be good climbers.
