February 10 – Sweetheart Safari
Valentine's Dinner and Evening Safari

Give your Sweetheart a unique, "Wild Time" this Valentines Day!
Join us for an extraordinary sunset open-air van tour of Fossil Rim and then return to The Foothills Safari Camp Pavilion for a romantic candlelight dinner. This is a rare opportunity to see the animals “after hours” as they relax and reclaim the center as their own.

5:00 p.m. Board the open-air vans for a Wildlife Safari
7:00 p.m. Candlelight Dinner with your Sweetheart

When: Saturday, February 10, 2007
5:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m.

Where: The Lodge and Foothills Safari Camp at Fossil Rim Wildlife Center

Cost: $85 per person includes Rosemary Chicken, Dessert, Guided Safari Tour and a Rose for your Sweetheart.

February 11 – Wild About Wolves

Are you ready for a howling good time? Then lead your pack to Fossil Rim for an encounter with wolves. Activities may include crafts, stories, games, and more, plus a guided tour to visit Fossil Rim’s wolves – the two most critically endangered types of wolves in the Americas. Recommended for ages 5-9.

When: Sunday, February 11, 2007
2:00 - 4:00 p.m.

Where: Eco Center

Cost is $25 per 1 child with adult. $10 per each additional person. No more than 2 adults per child, please. Discount for members.

March 11 – Gazelles on the Go!

Pronking, springing, stotting -- Find out for yourself why these animals are a favorite to watch. Activities may include crafts, stories, games, and more, plus a guided tour to visit the graceful gazelles – including some of the newest additions to the Fossil Rim herd. Leap into action and make your reservations today! Recommended for ages 5-9.

March 12th through March 17th, Spring Break Special (Overnight Guests)

A three course dinner will be offered nightly from March 9th through March 17th. Adult dinner is $33.00 per person and children dinner is $12.00 per child. A special “Safari Value Meal Lunch” will also be offered to our overnight guests at the time of check in or after breakfast each day.

Each Safari Value Meal will include a sandwich with the following choices: turkey, ham, or roast beef, chips, fresh fruit and a soft drink or water at $11.99, plus tax.

April 8 – Awesome Ocelots

This small cat once ranged throughout South, Central, and East Texas. Today, only 100 ocelots can be found in our state. Learn more about these vanishing creatures and participate in related activities, such as crafts, stories, games, and more. Meet Fossil Rim’s ocelot in an up close encounter.

Recommended for ages 5-9.
