Chatter:
Thanksgiving
for the animals
This
time each year finds us looking at what we are thankful
for. We also can’t
help but imagine what the animals in our care might be
thankful
for. View
our interactive gallery to find out what each of our “distinguished
residents” are thankful for. |

Notes
from the Field:
Addra Gazelle Update
We
received two Addra gazelle on October 6th, 2006. On October 7th, 2007
they gave birth to an 18 pound female. Her neonate exam showed
a healthy calf and she was tagged with 615 Yellow. These
young can be expected to be tucked away for several days
but by the time you read this she should be out and about
with mom. The baby looks and acts very healthy and mom, who
is a first time mom, is being very attentive. |

Meet Trich Zaitoon
As
one of the longest tenured volunteers, the passion
I have for Fossil Rim grows every year. I have been
making that same comment for the past twenty three
years. In preparation for this article I was thinking
back when the education department was formed. Continued |

Spotlight on Volunteerism
Volunteerism
is not dead! If you want to see it in action, just come
out to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center almost any day of the
week. Most often you can find one of our dedicated volunteers
out working to ensure that our center does what it does
best - help endangered animals. That’s the bottom
line for us all. We are here to help save the animals
of today for the people of tomorrow and we do that in
different ways. Continued
