need and often a rancher’s livestock will
suffer the consequences. They need to take a
lesson from the Addax; one of Fossil Rim’s
endangered species. Addax are the most desert

Haefele, DVM let me know she is going
to be very busy this month. It is time to trim
the
hooves on Big Cow, one of our female giraffes.
While we don't think much about trimming our
toe nails, when you are considering doing this
for a giraffe it is a different story. Continued

How do the animals at Fossil Rim get enough
water?
A: We
have multiple earthen water impoundments (tanks
or ponds) located throughout the property.
Also, we have one tank that is fed via a natural
