Fossil Rim Members Enjoy Even More Membership Benefits
Great news - your membership now allows you to enjoy even more benefits at Fossil Rim! We have extended the 10% discount at our Lodge and Safari Camp from four days (weekdays) to seven days a week! If you’ve never stayed in our Lodge or at the Safari Camp, you are in for a real treat! The Lodge is our original Ranch house and has five luxurious rooms. The Safari Camp features seven individual wooden cabins with a canvas cover and a private bath. All cabins are heated and air conditioned. It is “luxury camping.” A hot breakfast is included at the Glass Pavilion near the watering hole on the back property of Fossil Rim.

There is a private entrance so, the visitors on the Scenic Wildlife Drive do not drive by which adds to its seclusion. Your experience will be “a little bit of Africa in Texas” without having to travel to the continent of Africa. Our Executive Director, Dr. Patrick Condy, who is from South Africa, tells us that he and his family feel that they are “home” in Glen Rose, as it is very similar to Africa in both terrain and climate. But don’t take our word for it - experience our Lodge and Safari Camp for yourself!

Members Appreciation Event
The next free Members Appreciation Event is scheduled for Saturday, Sept.15, 2007. Invitations will go out by email after Labor Day Weekend, so please be sure we have your current email address on file and be sure to add us to your address book. Send your current contact information to Karen Veal, Membership Manager, at membership@fossilrim.org. Space is limited to the first 50 respondants. Additional details on the animal, location and keeper who will give the tour will be announced in the invitation.

You won’t want to miss the free, behind-the-scenes private tour to be held at a location off the main Scenic Safari Drive. It will be a memorable experience that your family will talk about for years to come! As we say in Membership, when you visit Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, “you are making memories with your family” AND supporting our Mission of dedication to the conservation of species in peril, conducting scientific research, training of professionals, responsible management of natural resources, and public education. Labor Day Weekend Membership Drive
This Labor Day Weekend we are holding a membership drive at the Front Gate Membership Office. If you renew your membership during the drive, we will add an additional month (for a total of 13 months) to your current membership. If your membership has not yet expired you can still take advantage of this offer. Simply renew by September 3, 2007, and we will extend your membership plus add the additional month. You can renew on site, or by phone, fax or regular mail. Contact the Membership Dept. at 254-897-2960, ext.213 or fax at 254-897-3785. You won’t want to miss this opportunity!

As a special bonus, we’re also offering an extra month added to your current Fossil Rim membership if you refer someone who purchases a membership (documented) or if you choose to give the “gift” of a membership.
