Discovery after Dark Tour

WHEN: Friday, August 11
6:00 p.m. - 9:15 p.m.

WHERE: Fossil Rim Wildlife Center - Eco Center at the Overlook

WHAT: The Discovery after Dark tours run on the Fridays closest to the full moon March-November (weather permitting). From 6-7:30 pm, there will be an educational program with activities related to nocturnal animals at Fossil Rim, adaptations, the animals relationship with the moon, Native American stories, and folklore. From 7:30-9:00 p.m., visitors will be taken on a guided after dark adventure that will focus on the nocturnal residents of Fossil Rim including owls, wolves, armadillos, and other applicable wildlife.

COST: $45 per person
(Not recommended for children under 5)

Members will receive a 10% discount.

Encounter: Zebra

WHEN: Sunday, August 13

WHERE: Fossil Rim Wildlife Center - Eco Center at the Overlook

WHAT: The Encounter series will each focus on one animal species from Fossil Rim's collection. The classes will be suitable for children ages 5-9 years. The Encounters will be held at the Eco Center by the Children's Animal Center at the Overlook on the 2nd Sunday of each month (weather permitting). The program includes 1-1/4 hours of lessons and activities, plus a 45 minute guided tour to visit the focus animals.

COST: $25 per adult with 1 child. $10 per additional person. No more than 2 adults per child can be accommodated.

Members will receive a 10% discount.
