We also have a spring creek located in our largest pasture, below the Lodge. In the event of severe drought, we have deep water wells located in each animal area to supply fresh water until natural run-off occurs. This water is piped to key watering areas where animals utilize the metal water troughs that are regulated with automatic float valves. Also, there are seasonal creeks in some of the pastures such as below the giraffe yard.

Buffer Pasture – 1 tank located here
Main Pasture – 5 tanks located here
Game Preserve – 3 tanks located here

Wells
Front Pasture – 2 available with 3 to 4 troughs available
Buffer Pasture – 1 from Pens/clinic well with 1 trough available
Main Pasture – 3 available with 2 troughs with more available if needed
Game Preserve – 2 with 1 trough and more available if needed

There are also additional tanks and wells located in other animal and non-animal areas around the center
