Driving Directions

Please consider the following while planning your visit:

Rain or shine, Fossil Rim is the place to be. Come and explore nature at its finest any season of the year.
The animals don’t care what the weather is doing. They’re always out and about. In fact, the rhinos love to slosh around in the mud when it is raining.
Animal food is available for purchase at the front gate and we limit it to one bag per vehicle for animal health reasons.
Halfway through the drive is the Overlook which has our Overlook Café, picnic area, the Nature Store, Children’s Animal Center and Nature Trails.
All guided tours must be reserved in advance. Reservations are not needed to take our Scenic Drive in your own vehicle (please allow at least 2-3 hours)
ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED! We realize that many people travel with their pets, but due to government regulations pets can not be allowed on Fossil Rim property or left in parked vehicles in our parking lot. Please take this under consideration while making plans to visit us. There are veterinarians in the Glen Rose area that offer boarding services, please call our main number for more information.
