Last week the Association of Zoos & Aquariums (AZA) launched,
www.animalsinc.net. This new web site looks to captures the public’s interest in animals and zoos and aquariums with strong visual content, has a “Find a Zoo or Aquarium” feature, live Twitter feeds, and many member’s web cams. It also directly links to their new Animals Inc. Facebook and Twitter accounts, to further engage the public in AZA-accredited zoos and aquariums and their collective conservation mission. The permanent link to their web site is located on our right bar, just above the social links section.

This is a time in our nation that volunteers are honored for all the great work they do. In 2013 Fossil Rim Wildlife Center joins thousands of others to honor people who give of their time, energy, ideas and passion to make this world a better place to live.
Our volunteers at Fossil Rim assist in the tour department, animal center, nature store, educational camps and horticultural events. Thanks to them Fossil Rim is moving forward in our mission of conservation of wildlife with emphasis on endangered and threatened species. They are assisting us to build a better stewardship of wildlife for the well-being our planet, our children and the generations to come. A huge “thank you” to each and every one of our volunteers.
